Two detectives have been hired to investigate the relationship between a man and his wife. The husband has a wife who suffers from insomnia and he becomes upset when she leaves the apartment and goes wandering in the night, never telling him where she goes. The two detectives have personal problems of their own that tend to interfere with the investigation, but they carry on as they attempt to determine if a crime of love has been committed.
