Set in Hell's Kitchen, New York, the play explores the relationship of two close friends, one a struggling writer, the other a would-be actor. After attending a wild party, the writer, unknowingly invites his friend and his friend's new friend to sleep over. During a conversation the next day the writer learns that his friend has been investigating the gay life. The friend leaves, not realizing that his new gay friend is still in the apartment. When he introduces himself the writer offers him a drink and becomes abusive.
